Hopscotch

In this piece, I sought to capture the sharp, heartbreaking contrast between the innocence of childhood and the harsh realities of war. It portrays two children, a boy and a girl, lost in the simple joy of playing hopscotch—a universal symbol of innocence and fun. Yet, unbeknownst to them, the menacing shadow of a bomb looms overhead, threatening to break their moment of play. Through my work, I aim to remind viewers of the fragility of life in Palestine.
